Abstract

This study aims to analyze the maternal and neonatal outcomes in adolescents of usual risk and high gestational risk This is a cross-sectional study carried out with adolescents aged 10 to 19 years. The sample used in the study consisted of 220 adolescents X were used as statistical tests when necessary Fishers exact test or MidP was used.A p value 005 was considered. As for the resultsit was observed that the usual risk adolescents had unwanted  pregnancies 0033 and perineal lacerations during vaginal delivery 0001 and the high risk ones had changes in pregnancy p 0001 episiotomy was performed p 0038 and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit ICU)  p0015 Normalrisk newborns were fullterm p0001 and adequate for gestational age p0023 and high-risk newborns had respiratory distress p0001 and neonatal sepsis p0029It is concluded that adolescents at high gestational risk need specialized care during the pregnancypuerperal cycle to prevent gestational changes severe clinical conditions ICU admission and adverse neonatal outcomes, with the aim of improving perinatal quality of life.
