Abstract

The professional master's degree came about with the purpose of qualifying professionals, even for sectors that do not deal with teaching, that is, professionals with experience who are not in search of learning practices, but expand their knowledge, in order to solve problems, they experience in the labor practice. Objective: Is to know the profile of the graduate student of the Professional master’s in public health of the State of Goiás. Methodology: Retrospective cross-sectional with a quantitative approach, based on primary data from the registration form of classes 4, 5, 6 and 7 who entered the master in years 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017, respectively. Results: Include data from 92 graduates. Of these, 49% are in the age group of 20 - 30 years of age, 83, 7% are female and based on the Standard Deviation of the age group (SD) of 8.5, it is observed that the sample group is demonstrably heterogeneous. It is concluded that the profile of the graduates of the MPSC is well defined, composed of a majority of females with varied age range, 22 - 59 years old, has a connection with the public health service and are professionals working in the labor market with a baggage of knowledge and defined career and are in search of improvement for the health sector.
