Abstract
Introduction: some hospital institutions have adopted quality management programs with the aim of continuously improving their processes and services. Objective: to report the accreditation experience of a field hospital. Methods: This is a descriptive, qualitative study, of the type of experience report, where the authors describe the process of implementation of the culture of quality and continuous improvement developed in HCAMP - Luziânia that culminated in the plena certification of the institution, with the National Accreditation Organization (ONA). Results: All data and internal documents of the unit were analyzed in order to describe all the processes implemented during the accreditation of the ONA (National Accreditation Organization). Conclusion: the insistence on the implementation of a culture of quality and continuous improvement is a process capable of generating leaps in care excellence, which was demonstrated, in this specific case, by the “PLENA” quality seal of the ONA organization.
