Abstract
Abstract: The health Ministry in partnership with one of the Brazil’s excellence hospitals has developed the Patient Safety Project (PSP) through the Support Program for Institutional Development of the Unified Health System (SUS), aiming to support institutions in the National Patient Safety Project implementation. This paper aims to describe the Project’s pathway and it’s an experience report, dating from May, 2016 to December, 2017, presented in two ways: project’s beginning and its execution in the participants hospitals. The Improvement Science was used as the implementation methodology and it is based on quick tests applications in small scale to processes’ changes. The interventions done allowed to identify that sharing experiences and involving the care team and leadership in the change ideas tests was fundamental to develop the safety patient culture into the health institutions.
