Abstract

Introduction: Digital transformation in public health has emerged as a strategic pillar to improve the quality of care, optimize processes, and increase service efficiency. However, for this transition to be truly effective, continuous professional training is essential, as health workers are directly responsible for operating technological systems. Nevertheless, cultural, technical, and structural barriers often hinder the incorporation of new technologies, directly affecting work routines and the quality of care provided to the population. Objectives: To discuss the challenges faced during the computer training activities aimed at health professionals from Jataí (GO), and to identify strategies to strengthen the adoption of digital transformation within the Sistema Único de Saúde. Methodology: This is an experience report based on training sessions conducted between february and december 2024, using active methodologies and participatory strategies. Report: Thirty professionals participated in the activities, showing high engagement with the proposed activities. However, practical difficulties were observed regarding adaptation to computerized systems and the use of digital tools in daily work routines. Discussion: Institutional barriers (limited infrastructure and restricted technical support), operational barriers (lack of practical training opportunities and heavy workloads), and cultural barriers (initial resistance and technological insecurity) were identified. These limitations highlight the need for continuous training, permanent technical support, and strategic planning. Conclusion: It is recommended to expand training initiatives through active methodologies, practical simulations, and continuous support channels, fostering greater digital engagement, system integration, operational efficiency, and transparency in public health management.
